This site is temporarily  designed to present information about the early days of wireless communication with merchant and passenger ships

With  reference to the issue of danger and safety signals, ships newspapers and weather bulletins

With special reference to the declaration of WW I from station ZZ located at Poldhu, Cornwall.

500kcs was the calling and distress frequency using CW (Morse code) for nearly 100 years.



Site under construction and temporarily assigned to the operation and background to station ZZ and the associated special event on amateur radio using the call sign GB100ZZ. See appropriate pages.
